Library Director
Uxbridge MA
The Uxbridge Free Public Library in Uxbridge MA is seeking a motivated and innovative
Library Director. The candidate should have the following qualifications:
A Masters Degree in Library Science or a Master of Science in Library and Information
Science from an ALA accredited institution with Massachusetts Board of Library
Commissioners certification and at least five years of progressively responsible library
experience. Excellent communication skills and management skills are required.
The Library Director is responsible for the management of the staff, the preparation of the
annual budget, community relations, collection management, (both circulating and
historical) and for the physical plant. The Director is also responsible for upgrading,
maintaining, and evaluating technology as appropriate.
Closing date: Open until filled
The Director works with staff, Town officials, Friends of the Library, and reports to the
Board of Trustees.
