Uxbridge Library Teen Advisory Board
Ocean State Power Foundation has awarded the Teen Advisory Board $2100 grant to
purchase shelving for the new Young Adult Library space . The shelves will be installed on
or about April 17 The group will assist library staff in moving the materials that will be
housed in that new space as soon as things are ready. There will be a small gathering in
mid-May to celebrate the newly designed space--watch for details! The group is thankful
to Ocean State Power Foundation for its support.
Monthly raffles have been donated by various library patrons for the purpose of raising
funds to purchase items for the Young Adult Library space. So far 4 raffles have been
held and over $160 has been raised. The plan is to continue raffling items over the winter
months.
The next Teen Advisory Board meeting is Thursday, April 3rd at 5:30 PM.
